musicianship is the foundation of becoming a great producer

As major label producers ourselves, we recognize the value of being a musician first when pursuing a career as a music producer. Being a musician gives you a competitive edge over any other producer because you can approach creating music in an entirely different way and bring a substantial level of value to the project that few others can. More often than not, songs are built off of guitar progressions or piano progressions. With that in mind, we are launching our newest program in partnership with Midtown High School’s guitar classes.

About Our Partnership with Midtown High School

Dynamo Studios runs multiple full-time accredited music industry programs at the school. The school itself follows a pathway model with the goal of leading students directly toward meaningful careers. We are creating several music industry pathways that lead to different careers in the music business including production, media and marketing, business, etc. The pathway relevant to this proposal is the producer pathway.

What makes our programs hyper-unique is that they are led by major label, multiplatinum music producers, and songwriters. Atlanta represents one of the largest music economies on the planet and thus presents a unique opportunity to put kids in the room with some of the biggest names. Through our relationships and positions in the music industry, we are able to connect students to major studios and projects all over the city.

By the end of this program, students will have had countless opportunities to contribute to real projects from major labels that we are affiliated with (Sony, Universal Music Group, APG, etc)

As the program grows, it will quickly become the premier production program in the country (at least in the public edu space).
